Our Story
Born under Kilimanjaro.
Tembo Journeys was founded by a small group of Tanzanian guides who grew up in the shadow of Kilimanjaro and learned the bush from their fathers. What began as friends leading friends has grown into one of Tanzania's most trusted, family-run safari operators.
We're 100% locally owned. Every guide, driver, chef and porter on our team is Tanzanian — and every dollar you spend stays in the country we love. We exist to share this place honestly, protect its wildlife, and give back to the communities that make it extraordinary.
